Last time I tried was 1997 in a 1987 Honda Prelude Si at age 20: Country road with a hill that took about 60mph to catch air. ‘Deci

ded to go for broke at 90mph. At the last moment, I realized I might not be able to correct for the 5 degree corner to the left, so I turned before the crest of the hill. The car cleared the tops of the mailboxes; rolled about fifteen degrees to the right and the front dropped about the same . I landed a hundred feet down the road on my right two tires in my lane; the car settled without a bounce.

I realized three things that day: I’ll never win the lottery since I used up all my luck; Bo and Luke Duke and I deserve the penitentiary for our reckless driving; and the General Lee never did it better.
