If people would be willing to extend it to 7-10 days on the trip (so two weeks including there and back again), I really think we’d be hard pressed to find a better spring destination than Tuscany and Umbria. The Pyrenees or (French) Alps would be great as well, but weather wise they are a safer bet in September than in April.

Why Tuscany and Umbria?

  • General history
  • Automotive history (Mille Miglia, Ferrari, Lamborghini et al if we meet in Milan)
  • Food
  • Wine
  • The views
  • The roads. Well graded gravel roads too. There’s a reason one of Gran Turismo’s course creator settings was Tuscany.
