At this point, we can make some reasonable assumptions about Toyota’s production timeframe:

2015: S-FR Concept

2019: S-FR Concept II

2020: S-FR GT3 racecar (no details on the production model)

2021: Production S-FR revealed at Goodwood in camoflauge wrap (still no info on horsepower)

2022: S-FR finally hits showrooms. It has a 1.6L engine making 155 hp. It’s new rival, the NE Miata, makes 200hp. Toyota never bothered to research their competition.

2032: S-FR finally ends production with zero powertrain updates since its release. Toyota creates a TRD final edition with a stripe on the hood.
