Possibly one of the best 70's movies ever made. Gleason is a delight, Burt Reynolds nails the shit eating grin, and even Sally Field has her moments. What’s funny is that the music, the culture, the story, it’s so foreign today.

Honestly, it’s about smuggling booze to a dry part of the country, getting help from locals on CB radio, and all the while a catchy country tune plays. Trying to explain it to a younger generation just gets blank stares, but they enjoy the action and car chases.
