Try to get or rent the right tool for the job to be done. The right tools can save time, sweat, protect your body (hands, face, eyes...), and reduce a lot of cursing! And the right tools can also mean a successful job the first time and not screwing things up more to fix later.

Try to have the service manual at hand or at least search online to see how others have done it.

Protect your hands, eyes, face, body by using gloves, and use good quality tools. You don’t want to tool to break on you when you are applying a lot of force.

Make sure to use jack stands if you are getting under the car. You don’t want the car to come down on you while you are under it.

I’ve done engine swaps, suspension upgrades, brake jobs, clutch changes, you name it...
