Shade tree mechanic culture. I grew up with a father that rebuilt cars to resell them. We had almost a full shop. Friends and relatives would all come over to get work done, especially when we picked up a used tire changer.

When my brother and I hit driving age, our house became the hang out where people would come to do customization and repair work. We could even put crappy paint jobs on cars. Lowered cars, lifted trucks, all came out of our backyard shop.

Nothing is as great as a group of friends working to help each other fix up their cars.
