If you must cruise the Strip, don’t be a sucker and blow all your dough on cabs. The Las Vegas Monorail on the east side of Las Vegas Boulevard is way cheaper, while the west side of the Boulevard boasts three FREE trams:

Mirage – Treasure Island
Monte Carlo – Aria – Bellagio
Mandalay Bay – Luxor – Excalibur

    I mean, it’s $5 for a single ride, and it’s WAY behind those hotels. Unless you’re going from one extreme end of the strip to the other, you’ll be doing a LOT of walking to use the monorail.

    Better idea, use the Deuce bus, which costs $8 for a 24 hour pass, picks up directly on Las Vegas blvd, is double-decker (fun for someone who’s never been on one before) and stops in front of almost every casino.
