If you go to a Cubs game don’t be one of the sheep that crams themselves onto the redline and thinks that is the only option to get to Wrigley Field.

When getting off at Union Station take the Brown Line (it’s even closer than the redline...Its the Quincy stop FYI) Not only will you most likely get a seat, you will get a far superior view of the city and you will be significantly less stressed. Also, don’t transfer to the Redline (at Belmont) and take it one stop to Addison(only 3 blocks away)

Get off at Belmont, and walk north on Clark a couple blocks and you are there ,there are lots of local shops (Belmont Army, Strange Cargo) that will satiate your Chicago palate more than the typical sleazy mega-bars.
