So...Mr. Man and I went to 2 open houses today and we liked one of them and it’s all starting to feel real and I’m terrified. I mean, the way people talk about equity and inspections and property tax and mortgages and FHA and insurance and second mortgages and etc etc makes me feel like everyone was born knowing about this shit and I don’t even know where to start. But! We liked a house! And you aren’t supposed to like the first one, I know, I know, but I really really do. So there’s that. And of course someone’s going to buy it right under our noses.

Any advice for a first time homebuyer? What do you wish your former self knew?
