Mine would involve a U-Haul. It was back in 1997. My parents were moving about 200 miles from where we’d lived for decades and I, being their son, was tasked with providing free labor and transportation. They rented the U-Haul and I picked it up, loaded it, drove it down, unloaded it, turned in the U-Haul truck, and started all over the next time I went down to the new place.

On my second trip (there were 4 total), I picked up the 27' U-Haul. It was an early 90s C3500 Box truck with a 454 V8 based off the regular cab chassis.

The air vents were taped in place. The windshield was cracked. However, the engine seemed to start fine. However, going down the road, EVERY tire was imbalanced. It’s what I got after reserving and picking up the vehicle on a Friday, when all the kids were headed home from college and vehicles were hard to come by. For the most part, the vehicle didn’t give me any problems. Except 2nd didn’t exist and the hood came flying open while going up a mountainside at 50 MPH. Scared the snot out of me.
