This is the first console reveal that I have really watched, so I gotta ask.

Is it normal for people to bitch and complain about a new console? people did it with the PS4, WII U, Vita, 3DS and now the Xbox One. Honestly, why do you play games at all if all you do it bitch? Seems to me you could probably find a better way to spend your time if you really dont care for the way the industry is right now.

Because it spit in the face of real gamers everywhere.

If you aren't a true gamer you'll never understand.

Finally, someone who understands. Has anyone actually tried switching from video game console to TV? Switching through all the inputs with a remote can be very frustrating. The XboxOne is going to make gaming much easier.

Yes, everyone has tried that. Normally I'm doing one or the other and it takes about 4 seconds to switch over, honestly.

I'm not sure if you're being facetious though, because the image was as well.

Maybe someone at Microsoft actually hates their job and is just really passive aggressive.

Considering the hate, and the fact that most grunts had to know it was coming, you might well be right.

My god, it's everything I ever wanted out of a reddit thread.

Which isn't saying much since I don't really get Reddit, but cripes, my stomach's cramped from laughing at the captions.

I doubt a marketing person would read through someone's feed to check context. They checked for #XboxOne, found a tweet that at face value read as positive, then you throw in the fact that the tweeter is a transgender gaming journalist and you got a hip socially conscious piece of marketing on your hands.

I'm thinking it wasn't even a person, it was an algorithm. At best, some social media drone tapped the RT for approval after a half-second glance at it. That post was dripping with too much sarcasm for most people not to realize if they actually read the post in its entirety.

      /I hope

You'd have to be an utter idiot to not realize that was sarcasm. Thank God that marketing person was just that kind of idiot.

I would like to wholeheartedly thank Microsoft and the Xbox One. The amount of joy that one fuckup after another has given me is nearly unprecedented.

Truly Microsoft, you have given gamers a gift. The gift of laughter.

Microsoft is trying to merge all 4 major forms of multimedia with this ''console''. Music, movies, t.v., and games. Unfortunately, the price in accessibility to the average person and a hardcore gamer might be too high. Frankly, I think that even with whatever garbage exclusives Xbox 1 brings out at E3, isn't going to help stop this avalanche. The sad thing is the only person to blame for this is xbox, and xbox 360 owners. When Microsoft started charging you twice for things you already owned you should have been enraged, instead you payed without complaining. You made your bed, now lie in it.

The strangest part to me is that this is already being done by..... Every phone and tablet? Why base the entire console on something that's already being done. iOS has gimmicky voice controls, music, movies, and (not live) TV down, not to mention the well documented threat to gaming. So.... Why not just make a Smartglass app that tends to all of these things? If we need to multitask or look at other things while we watch TV? Yeah, that's what my phone, tablet, and Chrome book are for. I don't need a console for that. Can anybody outside of Microsoft be that dependent on their services? If it used Chrome and Google, maybe I'd be more interested, but it's a box for Microsoft's services. You know, the ones that are decidedly less popular than the alternatives, or that we can reach out and grab 3 devices which can do the same things. A game console should have some of those things. But it's focus should be on games. Unless they have some HUGE plans to subsidize this thing through Comcast and Warner and other cable companies, they better start getting to work on making clear the advantages this thing has over a DVR or iOS device in tandem with the 360s already in so many living rooms.
