    “...protests outside the homes of Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts “are part of a disturbing trend in which groups exercise their 1st Amendment rights descend on the homes of people they disagree with and attempt to influence their public conduct by making their private lives—and, often, those of their families and neighbors—miserable.”

    Full stop.

      Yup. I would never sign up to be a SCOTUS jurist if I didn’t want attention. As long as no laws are broken. I hope they make his life very difficult.

      I don’t know why they would even live someplace where the public can just march by. You would think that a supreme court justice would live in a gated community. It seems like they probably should get government housing if they want it (I’m sure they don’t, government housing sucks).

    “are part of a disturbing trend in which groups descend on the homes of people they disagree with“

    Key word missing here is “powerful.”  People are descending on the homes of POWERFUL people they disagree with. It’s not like people are searching out people who donate to pro-life politicians and going to their house, or following people with anti-choice bumper stickers to protest at their house. Public accountability and public confrontation are not pleasant, but they sort of come with the territory of being among the several hundred most powerful people in the country. These are not the first powerful people, conservative or liberal to have to deal with this sort of thing and, frankly, if we were a healthier democracy it would happen more often, not less.

      I’d have some compassion if the anti abortion crowd hadn’t been harassing and murdering abortion providers for decades.

    First they gave me charcuterie and I said nothing.

    Then they gave me key lime pie and still I said nothing.

    Then they gave me wine, which was a very nice red blend and I really enjoyed it.

    Is that another Jen Psaki “truth bomb?”

    <eye roll>

    What a cog. She can’t even say the word abortion in a press briefing but she can lecture everyone else on treating barbaric judges with “civility.”

    Fuck. Off.

      The only people I know who are anti-abortion are uneducated religious idiots. Did you know scripture actually states life begins at first breath AND contains (batshit crazy) instructions for how to perform an abortion on a woman suspected of infidelity?

      I dont really see the point in getting pissed at Psaki and presenting this as if the tweet is her personal view. She was tweeting a statement on behalf of the President. That’s her job. She literally is a cog in the machine
