How does Clubhouse work? Like do you get into a “room” and there like 30 people all talking at the same time on a particular topic?  Or is it like a podcast where you just listen to pre-recorded discussion?  If it’s the former, then it sounds like a very active activity where you have to really pay attention and block out time for it vs listening passively while working out or something.

There are moderators of the room that can elevate listeners’ status, but only they have broadcasting permissions. It’s basically an panel discussion in a room. The thing is that you can start it up whenever you want, and you follow other people and can get notified when those that you follow have started a room. It works alright but ultimately it’s also the fact that no one wants to be at a never ending conference.

The room creator owns the Stage. They can invite whoever they want to co-moderate and/or speak. So a room with a good moderator will be better than one without.

Not interested in another platform to listen to celebs blab about themselves.

Most people I know avoided it like the plague due to how horrid its privacy and security policies were. Not sure if they ever fixed them up but it definitely gave it a black eye at launch.

I don’t make phone calls to my friends and family, why would I call strangers. Text is king.
