    Some of the hardest working people I’ve ever met ranged from poor AF to lower middle class.

    That tends to be the case when the people making all the money refuse to pay people what they are worth - only what they can get away with paying them. People can talk all the shit they want about the Hardee’s biscuit maker wanting to be paid a living wage, but when she is a key holder and has single handedly kept breakfast and the entire early shift running smoothly for the past 10 years, those people need to stfu.

    Especially when she has to work a second job to pay her bills and still get to Hardee’s at 3 or 4 am.

    At some point we really need to have substantive discussions about how we properly value people’s work. It probably won’t happen till automation and AI take all the good jobs, but the discussion really needs to take place.

    None of the poor people in LA that I know are able to wake up at 8 AM, Steve. They gotta get their kids up and be on that bus/train to get to work by then.

    Mr. Potato Head is who Nick Cannon is going to be when he’s an old head, guaranteed. Their egos make them think they’re the exceptions to the “white people’s chosen ones” way of doing business and that they’re simply products of meritocracy. Junior Hotep is particularly frustrating because he’s stubbornly wrong and thinks that swami cap unlocked his 11th chakra or something.

    You could’ve stopped at the title and no one would’ve blinked. Uh someone tell Steve that most people that work on the West Coast in finance are up earlier than most due to the time difference. As someone who once spent six months in San Francisco working on a project with Citibank I can attest to this. I take it Steve has never heard of The Pacific Exchange or after hours trading. Of course not it’s hard to know about these things when your head is up your ass.

    I’ve not really paid much attention to him day to day because I’ve never personally enjoyed the brand of comedy that goes “I’m loud and speaking with an exaggerated country accent, ergo I’m humorous.”

    I feel like that’s 98% of his schtick.
