That didn’t have anything to do with it — it had to do with being a minority female.
That’s a stupid take. If all it took to win a Congressional race was to be a non-white woman, there would be a hell of a lot more non-white women in Congress. Her win might not have been solely due to her pro gun reform positions, but it had everything to do with her politics as a whole.

Black Privilege (noun): A more qualified black person getting the position a lesser qualified, but used to white-privilege, white person or persons wanted given to them.
White Privilege (noun): Not getting shot by cops for being white, not getting harassed by cops for being white, getting most of the good positions within government and companies, being able to whine whenever a black person succeeds that “affirmative action” is why they live in a trailer.

  Damn straight black privilege. Blacks with their affirmative action, the ability to clap on beat/dance/walk cool. Blacks have the best hair (hence why we just can’t resist touching it), best booty, best taste in clothes. They get preferential treatment from the police (I get pulled over by a cop, only one cop shows up. Black man gets pulled over, you get like half-dozen there. And they’re so concerned for your safety, they check your car inside and out to make sure it is road safe. Heck, sometimes they’ll even take you for a ride themselves just to make sure you get where you’re going to).
  And if you still don’t think blacks live the life of privilege, while the white person, esp. the white man, can’t get a break, then just watch some Tucker Carlson and he’ll give you the inside scoop how good you have it.
