    This statement is throwing up a LOT of red flags in my brain. Is he saying that these three men managed to get two children and another fully grown man into the cab of a truck, beat the crap out of him while driving, then neatly drop him and the son off without any incident?

    I hope the girl is found unharmed. Barring that, I pray that whoever had harmed her is brought to justice. I know I would stop at nothing if my daughter went missing.

    But, based on the information in this article, I'm just a little skeptical of the stepfather's story.

      I’m really skeptical too. He’s her stepfather, she underwent brain surgery last month, has had multiple surgeries, needs a lot of care and was sick, according to the statements given by the police. The story seems to indicate that the boy is his son which would explain why the son was spared.

      Sounds like the stepfather didn’t want to take care of another man’s sickly child, if I’m being really cynical.

    Sadly I see this going the way of late night cable news being dissected. It already sounds fishy. Its her STEPfather, mystery assailants but they drop him and his biological son off  but take off with STEPdaughter. That poor baby girl

      I can’t believe I’m writing this but a 1/2 year old is in many ways a better option because they cannot communicate to seek help. Not that a 5 year old can easily but I know my niece knows her name, her parents’ names and where she lives, she couldn’t do that at 2.
