Love this story. One of the best things in Dearborn, these days, is late-night dining during Ramadan.  Most folks still break the fast at home, but increasingly you’ll have restaurants open late into the night and early into the morning.  It’s becoming a cool little city.

I stayed in Dearborn for the Autoshow for a few weeks at the Towneplace Suites. I had my Krogers, the store where I picked up wine and so much good Lebanese food.

“Most folks still break the fast at home...”

I read a similar article to this one a few years ago, about Ramadan and IHOP. One of the families interviewed mentioned that it was simply easier to go out as preparing and cooking food for Suhoor took precious eating time away, lol. And IHOP provides generous portions so they could eat enough to get them through most of the fasting time.

I love this but now I’m scared some racists are going to IHOP to mess with the “MooseLambs”. Because they still have unchecked access to guns and a Nazi in the White House encouraging their hate.

The problem is that most go out for suhoor at like 4am.

Racists don’t wake up early to racist. If it was 2am it would be different.

    Ramadan Mubarak!

IHOP Suhoor is a thing here in California as well. I am not a morning person so I try to squeeze in every minute of sleep I can get - but with that I said I do not understand the brothers and sisters that skip Suhoor entirely. I don’t know how they manage.

So eating is to happen only after sunset and before dawn?

That’s pretty cool that its a “thing.”

It’s a big thing. Particularly the meal after sunset, Iftar, which can lead to 28 days of dinner party feasts. The joke is that a lot of people GAIN weight during Ramadan because of Suhoor and Iftar.

IHOP is capitalizing on this with discounts, right?
