So this asshole was in the theater with his phone out taking pictures? He’s worse than the spoiler.

I don’t see how it’s true. Some things, like Thanos’ first death, happen so quickly they’d be over before you have a chance to take a photo. Also, not ONE person sat around him told him to put his phone away, over those three hours?

So that guy dedicated a year of his life forming a fake friendship in order to get back at the guy who . . . spoiled a movie?

And then he thought he should tell people that he is a giant loser that spent a year plotting the stupidest revenge of all time? Is revenge “fair use” under copyright law?

Sadly the likelier situation is that none of this even happened, so we’re reading some loser’s loser fantasy.

This story closely mirrors a chapter of the novel Trainspotting.

I’m sure that inspiration for this thing that this dude totally did in real life.

I was gonna say, he got his payback, but the odds of him dying alone and being undiscovered until his neighbors notice the foul odor just doubled.

This is just...sad and pathetic. And arguably much, much worse than what originally happened to this person because he actually made this other guy feel like he had a good friend before getting his revenge.

That he’s proud of this says a lot about him. He’s no “hero” of any story...

I personally was hoping the story wasn’t going to be so predictable. There should’ve been a weird turn at the end, like, “I knew he had to go to his apartment for his Captain America shield before he went to the theater, so I grabbed my phone with all the pics, snuck into his place ahead of time using the hide-a-key, and when he opened the door, there I was, stark naked and balls-deep in his Black Widow body pillow.”

I mean, that guy was a troll, but this guy is a sociopath. If I were that troll, I’d sleep with one eye open for the rest of my life.

If I was the troll, though, now I know that this sociopath can have his life ruined by revealing plot points in a movie he wants to see. I’d just make a hobby out of seeing whatever big nerd-centric movie is in theaters opening night, then finding a way to spoil it for the guy. Buy a burner phone and text him plot points. Create a fake dating app account tailored to the guy’s interests, and when you match with him, make your first message, “Monica Rambeau takes on the Captain Marvel mantle in Captain Marvel 3, and the credits teaser shows Bruce Banner making Machine Man.” Sneak teasers into envelopes designed to look like they contain Comic-Con passes. Create a door hanger that looks like it has coupons for a local pizza place, but every coupon just has a different spoiler on it. Rent a billboard outside his apartment.
