This was my thought;I have had moments where I’m trying to hop on with just a bag,and he’s got Sherwood Forest as his carry-on.

As a person who has agreed to help someone move only to show up and see that the person was unprepared to say the least, I’m surprised this hasn’t happened more often.

I would have been better if they were at height where they didn’t have to flex.

This actually isn’t as strange as it seems. The station this happened at, 28th St/7th Avenue, is at the epicenter of New York’s shrinking Flower District. There is, or was, a place on the corner that sold trees like these, you kind of had to walk through them to get into one of the station entrances if they were arranged out on the sidewalk.

People tote all kinds of crap onto the subway and I don’t think there are any restrictions. Just last week a guy got into my car wheeling a mini-fridge. At least once a month I witness someone trying to get on or off a packed rush hour train with a bike (if you have a bike why are you on the subway?) I bet half the people on that subway car didn’t bat an eye, although I’m sure everyone was annoyed by the very temporary delay.
