    Yared Getecho was 28 years old when he was killed in a devastating plane crash that claimed the lives of 157 people. A very accomplished and confident pilot with an impeccable record, according to Ethiopian Airlines. The company also said he logged over 8,000 hours in flight.

    Although no one has as of yet attributed the crash to pilot error, fucking Capt Sully of Tom Hanks fame decided to shit on Ethiopian Air for not getting the first officer Mohammed Nur Mohammed enough training hours. Unnecessary.

    It sounds like Boeing and the US government are going to be on the hook.

      Unneccesary, but not wholly unsurprising considering the respective melanin content of both the late pilots, and the commentor’s skin. This has a racial undertone that I do not like at all. 

      What a gross comment on this tragedy by Sullenberger. The copilot’s logged flight hours have not been confirmed by any source. I’m glad other pilots spoke up and defended the view that quality of training in flight hours matters much more than overall number of hours in the sky.

    Donald Trump is stupid, lazy and incompetent that’s exactly what white people voted for. I would not be surprised if this crash was caused because there was a delay in implementing the updates to the software because of the government shutdown it would be in line with total incompetence of nearly every aspect of this “ presidency” and the fact that he understands nothing and is possibly responsible for the deaths of many brown people is the cherry on top of this tragedy.

      There’s an automated safety system installed on the 737 Max that’s designed to prevent stalls while the plane is nosing up. There’s a fundamental design flaw that causes that system to kick in even if the plane isn’t nose up and stalling. The result is basically that the plane will go nose down and take a sharp dive. Because it’s a system that’s activated early into any arbitrary flight, that typically means that the plane hasn’t made it that far off the ground yet. So, you can imagine that the combination of your plane taking a nose dive while it’s short of its max cruising altitude could turn deadly very fast.

    Given that Trump and his allies make their calculations only by their base, I don’t see how even nakedly causing an Ethiopian plane crash would be a negative.

    It seems like there is the faction that will put up with anything so they can pillage, burn and subjugate, the faction that’s fine because if there were any good ones they went to heaven, and the faction that’s just happy for another chance to bathe in”libtard tears”.
