I hope future law students in Georgia universities look up at a university building and see the notional skulls of the Carterville PD on those notional spikes.

I hope the law suits bury the Carterville PD. I hope the city /district council stays tied up from here to eternity civilly and financially.

The war on weed has always been a money-making scam for the cops and a political scam to marginalize blacks.

My kid is a hopeful law student in Georgia. Two months ago, he stated his internship and mentoring programs showed him the insane amount of money going into criminal defense and the well-oiled machine between corrupt PDs and local DAs.

This mass arrest was just antagonistic! Cops know very well what constitutes probable cause, permission to enter/search, and when prosecutors are likely to file charges. And if an individual officer is confused about what he should do, he radios his command officer for authorization BEFORE he does it. This was just to flex on New Year’s Eve, to intimidate/antagonize some Black people (without regard to who else was present), and generate some short-term cash!

And once again for the whites who’ve invaded this site: this is how institutionalized racism works everyday. This is how inhumane cops are to Blacks: Let’s make a sign to humiliate them! Let’s release all their pics immediately! Pregnant, we don’t care! Have seizures, So! [But you all want the world to care that you’re ‘allergic to perfume’?!] Cuz every American white has been at a party where MUCH WEED and other drugs were present and the most anyone got were Minor in Possession tickets and a call for parents to pick them up from the station.

Sue every one of them to hell and back!

So, it looks like the feds need to look deeply into how Cartersville is being run on a day-to-day basis.  Because I’m betting it’s chocked full of corruption.

I’d reach out to The Appeal and ProPublica. Because the feds won’t look into it unless there’s incontrovertible evidence, as I’m sure you noticed yesterday how many of those prosecutors in the #CollegeCheatingScam were also white.

Back in the #WhitePrivilegeSystemOfJustice, this is the best we can hope for today

YEs, yes, yes, yes, yes. Whatever it takes to break down Paul Manafort and de-power Trump’s foolish pardoning hand may be the only thing to keep US politics Russian-free for the foreseeable future.

The only issue with the story I have is:

Driving by the house party residence, Coker claimed he smelled marijuana—despite having his windows rolled up.

I live in the DMV where weed is semi-legal (in that I don’t believe that police are actively pursuing people the use it - I never have myself but live and let live) - and now when I stop at a light in traffic, my windows (and everyone around me) are up and closed and I smell whosonever is smoking in their car. That shit is strong too. So it is possible to smell those who are partaking in the weed festivities from your car - windows up.

Having stated that, this is some bullshit. from the illegal entry, search and seizure the lawsuits will be fast and furious. No, these particular Race warriors officers will get no consequence or even a reprimand but the city (?) of Cartersville will be using their legal defense fund to pay the numerous settlements that are to follow. Hopefully, due the age of most of the victims (yep, victims) they will be able to find jobs that will lead to a great career in spite of this incident. Perhaps some of them may go to law school and then sue the shit out of other predatory cops who do this bullshit regularly. Keeping the spirit of the Kapernick kneel alive. Shitheads

Not to mention “how did he know where the weed smell was coming from”?

You do realize smell enough alone is probable cause for entry....

Within a day of being arrested, mugshots of the Cartersville 70 had made it onto the news.

Meanwhile, if a police officer fires his gun and injures/kills a person (or even if it hits no one), there is a long review of the evidence by multiple departments before any action is taken, and during this process no mention of the officer(s) involved are made.

Because, you know, cops are “special”.

All of that damage for that much weed? I know it was the holidays, but Hanukah was over by then, no miracles were going to happen to multiply that weed enough to detain so many people and ruin so many lives. I hope they win, but with Georgia... don’t trust shit there.

the incident began early on the morning of December 31, 2017, when Cartersville police officer Joshua Coker was “responding to a report of gunfire in the area.” Driving by the house party residence, Coker claimed he smelled marijuana—despite having his windows rolled up.

The bright side is that these officers didn’t go to the same academy as Jeronimo Yanez. They would have just started bucking and we would have 70 fatalities instead.

I just have one question and maybe i missed this but....

How the HELL did 70 people get arrested by only 3 cops?! Were all the people at the party disabled? RUN. Im having a hard time even picturing how many vehicles they wouldve needed to get them all to the jail

Ugh. I feel so bad, not just for the situation, but because they don’t understand. All the white transplants from LA,NY, Chicago, Portland are coming here and pushing out black people from places like decatur, and atl where something like this wouldn’t happen. They’re being pushed into cartersville, symrna, roswell, which is like the wild wild west. The PD’s up there will get you for ANYTHING.
