“What the hell you gonna do? Shoot me?”
Needs to be a rallying cry at all gun hearing from now on.
These people act like its 1880's and its the wild west, that they need to be armed to protect themselves against dangers, imagined.
When they bully and tell you them to back down, legislators just need to resound with “What the hell you gonna do? Shoot me?”
See how they answer.

  I’m not saying out in the world.
  Hell no.
  I mean in legislative chambers, when trying to pass common sense gun laws, or keep the Russian backed NRA from loosening the few we have.
  But yeah State Sen. Flowers is a voice we need our legislators to have when it comes to gun control.

Stephanie Flowers is a perfect example of why downballot races matter so much. City councils and statehouses are where we can shut down bad policy in the womb and put a real check on power. I wish everyone watching that video would find one local race to pay attention to and a local candidate to support. These are the races where turnout really matters because a few thousand people can make a difference.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say Senator Flowers smokes Newports. At first I was thinking Virginia Slims but when she hit him with the “What are you gonna do shoot me” I knew it was Newports. People who smoke Newports are not to be messed with. I remember my aunt scolding me while she spanked me with a Newport hanging out the side of her mouth. She never dropped that cigarette.

  Where I’m from most black women that smoked, smoked Newports. They weren’t about to mess with some nasty ass Marlboros or Parliaments. But Senator Flowers looks old school. If I had to bet on it, I’d say she probably smokes Benson Hedges, or Winston, or maybe Kool.

The problem with Stand Your Ground AND police is “I felt threatened” = legally you can do whatever you want. You can even place yourself in a dangerous situation, like following a young boy home and threatening HIM, but when YOU feel threatened, it’s okay to murder him. Look, I wake up in the middle of the night and “feel” like there is some kind of evil presence in my house, but you know...I could be wrong.

  Which one wins: conservative love for “stand your ground” or Republican humping of the “Thin Blue Line”? Because I find the possibility of being shot by a skittish cop putting 6 rounds in my chest because I did what he told me to do but not down to the millisecond time span he wanted much more plausible than someone shooting me for the $17 I have in my wallet. I want to see someone use a “Stand Your Ground” defense when they shoot a cop.
