No, not as the next head of HUD. As the only black person left anywhere near the top of the administration she’ll be the new Executive Negro In Charge of Shucking and Jiving.

    Ben, you don’t see racism because you’ve never had your eyes open. Stop sleepwalking everywhere, man.

    Thankfully, his tenure at HUD didn’t do too much damage to the affordable housing industry, because most housing projects are on 15-40 year long affordability contracts. But he certainly rolled back enforcement. Y’know, the people who make sure landlords are actually keeping their prices in the affordable limit and the tenants fall under certain income levels.
