Just to be safe, Splinter will probably write a hit piece calling Holder a “centrist” soon.

I’m glad. He can do far more good working on redistricting reform.

I’ve pretty much tuned out on the Dem primary until this clown car empties out a bit. Also, the election is 20 months away which you wouldn’t know by the way some folks are acting.

I think Holder would make a great president, but I agree, redistricting reform is more important in the long term. He wouldn’t be able to make much ground on it as president, but his endorsement could be a huge advantage for whoever he chooses, and I think he knows that. I had a feeling it would more or less go down like this, if he was going to run he would’ve announced it earlier, but he’s smart and politically calculating, he knows he could get lost in a Democratic field this wide and diverse.

He Will Help to Elect the ‘Right’ Democrat

Um, according to the constitution, Obama can’t be president anymore.

That is true, Barack Obama can’t be president again. But I heard about this Irish guy, Barry O’Bama who sounds like a pretty smart cookie.

Really like the focus on the state and local. Say it with me: Farm Team. We all look at the presidential but too few look at the places that foster/develop the folks who might run one day or are going to be around long after the POTUS takes his last Air Force One ride.

The only Democrat who might not be able to beat Trump is Joe Biden (on account of his bankruptcy bill which will inevitably become common knowledge if he gets far enough in the primary). The rest of the field (at least those who’ve announced) are all well equipped to shred Trump while simultaneously peeling off various populations that voted for him in 2016

Fun story: I’ve seen a couple of my fellow white folks on Twitter today stanning for Bernie Sanders using quotes from Harriet Tubman and Malcolm X.

I really wish Twitter had a “Have you really thought this through?” feature that would pop up before people could post.
