And in the same manner; one step forward, three steps back.

    Trevor Noah agreed.

(I don’t know anybody who would disagree, except the Perpetratin’ Racists)

I swear to god Lemon seems to be committed to doing the exact opposite of the TDK ethos: Either die a villain, or live long enough to see yourself become the good guy.

I am still gagged that it got so bad Don Lemon had enough. I can never look at this dude and not see his tired defenses of white people. Better late than never I guess.

It was bad. I mean, do you know how many white people had to listen to people calling them a racist!?!?! And we’re talking about people who have nieces and nephews of color! We’re talking about people who danced like it was 1984, AND HIS WIFE (who had less than a month of being labelled ‘the smart one’ in his family until she couldn’t take it anymore). We’re talking about delegates who were drinking and not responsible for saying words they’re sure they said, but also aren’t part of their vocabulary.

There are people who’ve written sincere and well-thought out letters/DMs to the Root who’ve been labelled racist for merely having their letters published!

There’s a lot of hurt feelings out there.

Considering Black History Month began in 1976 and its precursor, Negro History Week, began in 1926, I’m going to guess there have been worse months/weeks prior to this one. This one has been notable for it’s horribleness, but... just sayin’...

I don’t like calling out The Worst Black History Month Ever. I think it was the most enlightening and eye opening month that justifies why we still need a black history month and proves that racism isn't dead, it doesn't require being caught saying the N-word, and associating with a black person doesn't disqualify you from being a racist.
