    textured silicone gluteal implants

(google, google) - so basically large silicone breast implants, for the butt. Seems like that would be _safer_ than silicone injections, because at least they’re contained within a .. uhh.. butt shaped ‘thing’. Whereas silicone injections would be right touching all your body’s defense mechanisms and not contained to any one particular spot. More surface area, and possibility for injections to migrate around.

Well, can’t argue with reality, I guess.

Seems like when I was young, ladies that had the silicone breast implants had problems when/if they leaked, and the salt-water ones were developed because of that. (Seems like I saw removal of the salt water ones, from I dunno, someone who wanted to get rid of them (or had health problems related to said implants?) and they looked pretty sketchy after a few years in the body. Not clear and healthy fluid inside. Looked like something (algae? fungus?) grew in them.)

Not something I think about frequently, so I could be totally mistaken.

The biggest difference between the two, I would imagine, would be structural. Breast implants aren’t really covering a load-bearing area. Not a lot of external pressure on them once they’re in even if they’re installed under the muscle.

But butt implants would be under strain every time you sit down, every time you stand up, every time you walk or run anywhere, any time you climb stairs... that’d have to increase the chance of springing a leak unless the envelope housing the material were really thick.

I believe I read something in the past about the “textured” part that leads to cancer. It’s like bumpy or something and ones’ cells affix and then start mutating to that...

      Cardi knows...

She wanted fat for her ass because (1) her boyfriend had recently cheated on her with a woman who, per Cardi, “had a fat, big ass” and (2) she’d observed that her colleagues with big asses made more money than she did stripping, regardless of dancing technique.

Cardi claimed her ass from the universe in a basement apartment in Queens, where, for $800, a woman injected her buttocks with filler. “They don’t numb your ass with anything,” she says. “It was the craziest pain ever. I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days.”

The circumference of the final product cannot be determined beforehand, which makes this procedure risky even among illegal medical procedures. While Cardi was happy with hers, she planned to return for a touch-up. “But by the time I was gonna go get it, the lady got locked up ‘cause she’s supposedly killed somebody. Well”—Cardi clarifies with c’est la vie insouciance—”somebody died on her table.”

Okay, putting aside reconstructive surgery after cancer/traumatic injury/etc., I just don’t get this.

Apparently their butts are just their lipo fat from everywhere else on their body re-injected to their hips and thighs so, I doubt those procedures will lead to death.

They’ll just be the Gabor sisters of our era.

      You earned your star.

I’m trying to envision a Kardashian remake of Green Acres. Wow! But who will play the Eddie Albert role?
