My friend Liz says you have to fight too much with King Crab to get to the meat,

Your friend is right. Eating crab and crab legs are like sucking a small dick. I’m not putting in all that work for a little piece of meat.

You know, you just ruined them for me.. as I won’t be able to get that image out of my head.

On the other hand, watching a woman go to town on them.......... well..  nope.. still no.. (most people that get into crab legs.. lets just say decorum and grace are not part of their process, its all about efficiency, ruthless efficiency)

So they were both fighting, “armed” with tongs, and they both said they overreacted... but the white guy gets charged with disorderly conduct (a class C misdemeanor = up to 3 months in jail and up to $500) and the black woman gets charged with third degree assault (a class A misdemeanor = up to one year in jail and up to $6K)? Uh huh.

I’ll go with a fucked up legal system that disproportionately punishes Black folks, and also the fact that the old White dude as a big ol’ cut on top of his head, while the young lady is uninjured.

It’s Alabama, I’m a bit surprised the old white dude was charged at all.

Well, the guy was obviously injured. Acting like an idiot without hurting anyone is one type of crime, acting like an idiot and hurting someone as a result is a different type of crime.

Just like getting pulled over for drunk driving is a DWI, but striking and killing someone while drunk driving is manslaughter.

Yo, I have frequented the Meteor Buffet in the past. The quality beats out any franchised buffet (Golden Coral/Shoney’s breakfast).

Yes, their crab legs are worth fighting over. For the sheer lack of seafood other than fried catfish in north Alabama, Meteor’s buffet does deliver.

See, I understand Chequita and refuse to condemn her! I.LOVE.CRAB.LEGS!! King Crab especially but I eat Snow Crab regularly too! The sweet, salty succulence wrestled from its prickly exterior and stockpiled to marinate in heated garlic butter goodness until a huge mouthful is collected can produce almost ORGASMIC spasms of delirium!

So, naw, Old Dude bet’ not try to cut the line or take more than his share knowing everyone else has been waiting too!! We pay $54 for AYCE Crab Legs at the  casinos - hell, I'd fight for $10 ones! It’s survival of the fittest out’chere in these Crab Lines, not Entitled Elderly Eat First on AARP Day! So he deserved a tong to the head! He knew he was wrong, he should have just rubbed some butter on his cut and went and sat down!

The casinos just upped the price for Crab Leg night to $54 around here but there always plenty

I love crab in general.  But I won’t touch snow crabs.  They are a disappointment.

Dinner at the Meteor Buffet is $10.58 per plate (which doesn’t seem to bode well for the quality of the crab legs, to be quite honest)

    For real.

And if you’re using anything as a weapon, just use the damned legs!

If this happens when we have plenty of resources, just imagine what would happen if we suddenly have a nationwide food or water shortage? People won’t be polite to each other.

I hear you. I lost much of my taste for seafood after working in a restaurant and having to clean shrimp every night. Cockroaches of the sea. Nasty.

I’ve never heard shrimp referred to as Sea Cockroaches, but I love it and I’m totally stealing that for later!
