    I’m sorry to even be this guy in the thread, but the Meters are one of my all time favorite bands, and watching them close out Jazz Fest was a yearly tradition for me. So I say this with a loving heart...

    How can you list Black-owned restaurants in New Orleans and overlook Nee-Yow and WILIE MAE’S SCOTCH HOUSE? And how can you write about New Orleans and Blackness without mentioning the Musee de f.p.c. AND JAZZFEST? Some editor must have worked this piece over and removed a lot of the good parts. Probably sabotaged by an editor born in, IDK, San Antonio or someplace.
