At the age of ten in fifth grade a kid called me the magic word. I said what did you say and in his smug whiteness he said “you heard me, boy.” I reached back and punched him in the nose breaking it in the process. The whiny bitch went to the nurse and I for my troubles was sent to the principal’s office. After explaining what happened I was told that I was suspended for the remainder of the day and that my mother had to come in the next day. I told my mother what happened and that she had to come in to meet with the principal. While angry she understood. Little did we both know that the worse was to come. The next day we sat in the principal’s office, while the boy with his father tried to play the victim. He explained that he had to be late for work, as if my mother a doctor by the way, didn’t have to. He tried to smooth it over with the boys will be boys bullshit but I was seething and I could see that my mother was as well. We both had to apologize and shake hands, but I was never so angry in my young life. I was insulted in front of classmates not him and he doubled down on it. Why was he being seen as some type of martyr and his father taught him that word and it’s meaning. I told my mother that evening I wasn’t sorry and I bet he’ll think twice before using that word again. Time moved on and I never saw that kid past 6th grade but the anger and humiliation of white people always thinking that us standing up for our rights somehow threatens their very existence never left me. I doubt any of these weak ass men or women could handle what we deal with in blatant and subtle ways. After last night I know they couldn’t. Keep swinging Spike. Oh James sorry that joke wasn’t funny. Never will be.

My next door neighbor and “friend” got mad at me when I beat her at some game (I can’t recall) and decided to call me the magic word. I was so hurt. I went to her mom and told her what was said, and she basically gave me the sticks-and-stones lesson and told me to call her daughter “a beaner” to retaliate. Even at the age of 11, I knew that woman was a complete knob.

They can’t handle it when gas prices start to rise. There is no way that persistent aggression on the micro and macro levels against their mere existence wouldn’t cause many to resort to thumb sucking in the corner.

When a man who was raised by a Klansman, who had to agree to stop discriminating against minorities in his real estate business, who took out a full page ad in the New York Times calling for the execution of innocent black children, who rose to power on a platform of racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia, and who himself uses makeup to darken his compexion calls the auteur of the greatest examinations of race and racism in modern America a “racist”, then the world is truly a fucked up place.

I’m pretty much intolerant to stupidity, and I am not nice about calling it out when I see it. I’m equal opportunity with it, so what I’ve learned is simply pointing out the stupidity of a white man as a Black person can get you called a racist.

I don’t think they were just angry at Spike for what he said, they were mad at how he said it. He didn’t sugarcoat it. You can say what you want, so long as you make them feel good in the process (kind of like Green Book).

Even our allies won’t stand for an indignity from a n****r, because in their mind we are still beneath them, but they feel free to treat you any kind of way. It’s systematic.

White racism is more than just your typical “i hate n*ggers” racism. It is a fear of justice. A fear of consequences for their actions throughout history. If not, why all the recent rise in anti-immigration, white nationalist and anti-diversity sentiment?

I see so many whites complain about diversity. They bitch about black ppl in the media as being “overrepresented”, but whites are a global minority at only 12% of the world’s population yet represented at almost 90% worldwide. redheads are less than 2% of the population which means they’re under 0.5 % in America, yet there are more redheads on tv than minorities when there should be almost none. there are also more aliens and other fictional creatures represented than minorities. studies have show that whites show preference to fictional species and animals over real people who happen to be nonwhite.

america has always been diverse, and that’s because of whites. all the invading, raping—i mean “mixing” with the natives (creating Mestizos), importing Asians and Africans (by force) to build the country and economy for them to benefit from instead, exploiting and adopting nonwhite cultures as their own (modern America in a nutshell) and more.

whites didn’t seem to have a problem with diversity before it started giving nonwhites success, attention, and a powerful voice in society. until people began speaking about racism and criticizing white culture. before they began losing social power. “black on black crime” wasn’t a thing until black people protested the murder of unarmed citizens by cops in droves and got nation wide support. crime was just crime before then, and they never gave a shit about whether we lived or died. they certainly don’t care about “white on white” crime despite it being the majority.

many whites in 2018 have views that parallel whites in the 50s. that the coloreds were going “too far” with wanting to end segregation. that we were becoming “demanding” and “entitled” for wanting equal oppurtunity and treatment and representation. now that we are starting to get it, they are scared shitless. whites are going out like a total eclipse of the sun and they have nobody but themselves to blame. if they hadn’t colonized and subjugated others, race relations would be 1000 times better. there would be no “political correctness” or talk of reparations. it would be unecessary.

whites have become aware of their race for the first time because they are finally the subject of criticism. i believe that collectively, whites are incapable of coexisting without racism. Historically, they have psycho/sociopathic tendencies and narcissism which result in superiority complexes and entitlement to things that are not theirs to claim (like nonwhite land and people).

whites know that they have created a system and hiearchy of which they benefit most from. whites see it being dismantled and take it as an attack on white people instead of inequality. they fear being treated the way they treat minorities, and this fear of revenge from poc, especially black people, is the true “white guilt”.

Let’s be clear: the lazy corrupt racist orange santorum-covered enemy of the people is projecting. It’s that simple.

With other people, there could be deeper discussions about history, semantics, white entitlement, putative black racism, and so much more.

The Frothy One is a racist simpleton. He is projecting.

    That is all.

Well said, any serious discussions about race or racism between black and white people isn’t gonna include Donald Trump in any capacity. His brand is racism and stupidity

As they say; “a hit dog will holler.” I’m glad that Spike Lee used that white-ass platform to speak the truth, regardless of what white people would think. That was dope.

My grandpappy used to say that if a white person dislikes when you talk about racism, its because they think you are talking about them. Thats hiw you figure out whether they’re truly racist or not. The whites who are not uncomfortable with history and Black outspokenness are not racist.

In my experience, they are uncomfortable because they *know* it applies to them. If you’re not racist, i.e. aren’t passively soaking up the benefits of white privilege and are actively doing things to reduce the effects of racism, then you have nothing to be offended about.

What did spike Lee say that was close to even being consisdered by anyone as racist?  Or even anti white? The worst he said was the importance of the upcoming election (well duh!)

He told people to vote, for not Trump.
      He’s also black.

      that was probably enough ?
idk I never manage to follow the thought process that leads a white dude to call a black one racist.

Like here, I understand what Lee said. I understand it made Trump unhappy. But the process going from “I’m unhappy” to “I’mma call him a racist” is missing a bunch of steps for me to be able to understand.

Then again, I might also be trying to overcomplicate the simple fact that white people doing that are usually massively racist morons...
