I think Colburn should do an on-air demonstration, to show how safe and tasty it is.

Why limit it to Colburn? All those “Fox and Friends” propagandists should do so.

He may be right, but who gives a shit? Tabasco is delicious, but if you aerosolized it and sprayed it in my face I’m pretty sure I’d be praying for death within seconds.  How fucking dumb is Fox’s audience that they don’t get that?

Good point. That would fuck up your pores pretty good, but as far as crowd control goes that's probably on the low end of the effectiveness spectrum.

Cyanide is produced naturally in apples, so it really couldn’t be safer...

The hallmark of a truly gifted bartender is the ability to blend a scrumptious Cyanitini.

These bitches can’t even handle black pepper on their food but they want to advocate for pepper spray in the eyes of babies.

    These assholes are truly evil.

So many of us seem to be on the same page. I was saying upthread that we should have it served on his nachos and he can eat it on air so we can see how he likes it.

For people with specific allergies, pepper spray can put them into anaphylactic shock and even kill them. Bean-bag guns have killed people, as have tazers. These are not completely “harmless” weapons.

I once tested a can of pepper spray I hadn’t used after a year of owning it. I use them on loose dogs that attack when I’m riding my bicycle on public roads.

I stood on solid ground, off a ledge to a metre below, on a day with no wind at all. I discharged it outside for less than half a second then ran, and I could still sense it in the air. I was lightly coughing for an hour.

The official name for all you listed are “Less Lethal Deterrents” and the all law enforcement agents should know this. It’s always been bullshit for them to claim that they cannot kill someone by using them.

Sidenote: I accidentally pepper sprayed myself when I was a kid. I won’t say I don’t wish it on my worst enemies, but that was a very unpleasant and painful experience without an allergic reaction. I can’t imagine the agony of it happening with an allergic reaction.

This trash human being should lead by example and have a plate of his special nachos since it is so safe.

And by this guy’s logic, we should all be inhaling Vodka because its safe to drink in small quantities.

I love vodka, but I’ve liked it much less since 2016, with Put(a)in in charge by proxy.

Which is, of course, why it’s used to disperse crowds — because it has no effects and is totally safe. You’d totally let us gas your kids, right? No big deal?

Also — It’s another example that horrible bit of broken logic that thinks there is ANY CORRELATION AT ALL between “natural” and “not dangerous.” Many of the deadliest poisons we know are “natural.” Apples have cyanide. Bananas are radioactive.

Also also — Context matters. Floods aren’t dangerous; I drink water all the time. Forest fires aren’t dangerous; I have candles in my house.

She would do that, though.   Didn’t one of the Bush’s HHSs call ketchup a vegetable  when they were trying to cut out free lunches for children after giving the greed-montsering 1% their “standard” Repugnican tax cut ...?
