      *Pushes up glasses* Um, actually...Dana Loesch (or however you spell her name, too lazy to look it up, but not too lazy to write this disclaimer) did mention it on some program (probably Fox News, since no one else would want to give her air time), and on twitter, that he should have been something like 5-7 feet away, as opposed to having his knee in the suspect’s back.

      Yeah, her explanation does NOT make this any better. The NRA will defend a good black guy with a gun, but only if there is no conflict of interest with police, in which case they’ll say that they have to wait for all the facts...and then never go back to talk about it.

    I love how the police explanation is that after apprehending a mass shooter and waiting for the police to arrive, Roberson then ignored orders from the police.

      Not really true. How many officers have been killed this year in the line of duty? I think I saw somewhere that it was around 100. I only remember a couple even being a blip on the news, and it goes away after a day or two.

    A relatively small detail like what he was working to earn money for isn’t supposed to hurt this bad.

    It fucking does though... Imagining how his wife and kids are reacting to his senseless death, practically has tears in my eyes.

    This is such senseless bullshit. He saved lives. Because of him other people are able to celebrate the coming holidays with their families, but because of civil servants who are supposed to be better trained, HE WON'T BE.

    I just... I just can’t....

    These cops better fucking be charged and convicted. I don’t want to hear shit about “justified shooting”. They shot this man without even a word.

    GOD DAMN IT.... USE YOUR WORDS!!!!

    My 3 year old needs to be told that on occasion. There is no fucking reason a person employing deadly force needs to be told that.

    Merritt had previously referred to Roberson as “the quintessential good guy with a gun” for his role in helping to prevent further bloodshed.

    That’s not really accurate. Can’t be any darker than this to be considered “good guy” by the death squads in charge.

    CNN reported Merritt’s comments. He and Roberson’s girlfriend, Avontae Boose, have been talking to the media in an effort to get Roberson’s story out there and to pressure police to release the name of the officer who shot the 26-year-old security guard, who had been apprehending a gunman at Manny’s Blue Room in Robbins, Ill., on Nov. 11.

    The fact that they haven’t released his name is reprehensible.
