Sue that pale mf and his conspirator-partner, who KNEW that car was clean. The best way to curb crooked cops is to call out the ones who think they’re who willfully ignore the CRIMINAL bs their brethren do.

Officer Pastran sounds in the article like he’s one of the ‘good ones’. Except he not once talked up, spoke up, or prevented Erickson from doing this. Which means he’s just better bad cop than your normal bad cop.

stories like this are why it always irritates me when white people start caping for cops. they do this grimy ass criminal shit on a daily basis and yet there’s still the token “well, they’re not all bad!” the so-called good cops are too busy covering asses while their brethren are out there using any means they can to intimidate and disenfranchise poc. smdh.

      Yes.

When I say cops are bad, all my fellow progressive white fuck Bois start telling me how their friend is “one of the good ones”.

I just smdh and tell them they are cops first, your friend a distant 8th.

Yeah, I hate that shit.  There’s always some white saying, “Hey, my father is a cop!”  As if that makes a difference.  They always look at me crazy when I say, “Fuck your daddy too.”

Can we just shove Staten Island and all it’s cops out into the Atlantic yet?

If the PD wanted to increase drug and illegal gun arrests 100% they could just pull over and search other cops.

That only works when the other cops are cops that aren’t liked that much. For example, the officers in Uniontown, Creola, Cullman and Double Springs aren’t liked much by other law enforcement establishments.

Forkland and Wilmer police departments weren’t liked much by other officers because they operated very successful speed traps until they were shut down by their respective district attorneys.

“The cops said that the car’s windows were too darkly tinted and the driver...did not use his signal light.”

Wow, the NYPD must have solved all the other crimes if this is what they focus on. Here in LA, if cops started pulling people over for that shit, there'd be nobody on the road.

I got pulled over for not signaling for a turn once. The cop walked up, saw that I was white, and let me go no questions asked. At the time I remarked to ask in the car that they let me go because I'm white. Cops are, at their core, racist.

To make matters worse, the guy didn’t use his signal light in his BMW. WTF is more routine than that.

Also possession with intent to distribute, unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, obstruction of justice, submitting false information on a government report, and then the civil side: defamation; libel/slander.

Of course, the Honorable POS ordered the case sealed. It‘s another bureaucratic hurdle for any civil plaintiffs to clear.

Wasn’t there a rash of Baltimore cops getting caught doing this same thing because they didn’t understand how their body cams worked? If they were truly committed you’d think they could learn from each other’s mistakes (crimes).

    From the article, BTW:

“Officer Erickson comes from a family of police officers.”

    Well, this explains A LOT.

“Mr. Kuyateh appeared in court at least 10 times to fight the charges and even rejected a plea offer that included no jail time.”

Something the cops and prosecutors do NOT like. A defendant with a sense of right and wrong, not one hoping to just sweep something under the rug. Good for him!

“Instead prosecutors dismissed the charges against Mr. Kuyateh, citing the gap in Officer Erickson’s body-worn camera as the reason.”

Yeah, can’t say the reason is that he obviously planted the drugs, drugs the previous officer didn’t see.

“How did Officer Erickson find a lit marijuana cigarette in plain view on the rear floorboard just minutes after Officer Pastran searched the same area and found nothing?”

So, has Officer Pastran been sent back to academy to improve his searching skills? I mean, he missed an obviously smoking blunt laying on the floor of this car. How incompetent can he be? Is he blind?

And how come we can’t demand civilian oversight of the police force, including when it comes to investigations of police officers and reports of misconduct???

We can call it magic but magic is usually associated with marvel, wonder, and imagination.

This is just spite. Pure and unfiltered White cop spite fueled by racism and stats that need to reflect said racism so NY can claim the streets are safe.

Safe from whom though? I wonder.

I’ll be hoping for a lawsuit. It’s the only way the officer will be forced to learn new tricks (and find a different job).

How come ‘we the people’ don’t get to investigate ourselves like the cops do?

Because “we the people” have been bee overruled by “we the politicians”.   We were never informed of that change to the constitution.
