#1 is a bust. He was on the law campus of the law school. He is not enrolled in that law school. He was not studying. He was harassing. He is enrolled in a library science program, but cannot use the internet to look up the library staff to see the name of the librarian who gave him permission on the smart phone he used to record himself not studying. cua.edu <> law.edu.

      Reading is fundamental.
“Gonźalez had been correctly informed that as a Master of Library and Information Sciences student, he had access to the law library.”

That statement is from Harriot probably via the student. Not an official press release from the school. Also his name is spelled González.

      Also - not studying.

      Jesus christ.

What makes me more upset is that the basketball kids had to pay bail too. I seriously doubt the courts reimbursed them. They probably had to pay court fees too just to have things dismissed.

And the judge saying the charges were dismissed and that was justice for those kids... fucking bullshit if that’s justice. Where’s the cop at? Still working? No reprimand?

Rochester Police Chief James Sheppard said Tuesday that he respects Doorley’s decision but believes the arrest was justified. He suggested that there might be more to the event than has come to light.

Things just never change. Cops always justifying the actions of other cops, regardless of how stupid.

This list seems to grow every day. It’s almost likes it’s not safe to be a black person in America? Weird!

Thanks for this. With the unrelenting fuckery going on in this country, it’s sometimes hard to remember all of the many instances where white people have misused their privilege to punish black people with petty displays of arrogant malevolence. I have a few “well-meaning” but clueless white people in my orbit who sometimes need gentle reminding exactly why black people in this country still have very real reasons for feeling aggrieved.

I, starting to feel times “personof the year”for 2018 is going to be “bbq becky” who seemed to start this whole thing of privilege white folks not liking what a black person is doing (or at least brought it to the forefront).

What’s the status of the Elaine Welteroth - Uber incident. Seems like enough time has passed to “investigate”.
