The shooting happened six months ago and was captured on body camera video—some of which has already been released to the public. That the officers are still employed—as far as we know—could also be taken as a bad sign.

Yep. I think everyone is expecting the findings to show that the shooting was “completely justified” or the cops were ‘not at fault”. It’s everything we’ve seen before, as cops are held to a different standard than everyone else.

And while we do want a thorough investigation, it is hard not to imagine a new narrative being crafted behind the scenes under the guise of thoroughness, and it is that fear that has everyone’s hackles up.

    Turns out, Stephon shot himself.

Not only shot himself, but to point out how he wanted to get the police in trouble, he snuck into the police officer’s firing range, stole already spent bullets from these officers, then shot himself with those bullets via an air gun, thus leaving the same ballistic markings on the bullets.

You know black people, they’re very sneaky that way.

And I still cannot fathom how come we, as a public, we don’t demand that the police are held to a HIGHER standard. They are, after all, representing us and serving us. And yet we let them get away with murder, literally.

He knows the results and is trying to softly get information out so as to stem the expected outrage, protest marches, and shutting down of city hall, the King’s stadium, and that corrupt DA’s office.

Maybe the only thing they understand are riots. Nothing else is working. The powder kegs keep piling up. 1992 Los Angeles was a culmination of these same injustices, Rodney King was a spark. There are a lot of 1992 LA’s all over the country right now the way I see it. If Flynt weren’t dying a slow death of lead poisoning they’d have every right to burn it all down.

Riots are the only thing that have historically worked. White people don’t mind paying a couple million here and there to ignore the racism, but they can’t ignore it when half the damn city is on fire.

They’re definitely going to find the shooting justified, considering how much the mayor is trying to kiss up to all the folks he’s about to shit all over.

The cops investigate the cops, so that when they slack off on the case, and create a weak prosecution, get a not guilty, they get defendant cops under the double jeopardy protection. The department gets sued and paid out, what do they care it’s taxpayer money anyways.

Here’s a new tactic. For every dime they have to pay out for settlements in abuse and death, they have to find the money out of their own budget. Hit them where it hurts. We’ll be surprised how cordial everyone will become.

The bottom line with this sequence of events if teh failure to identify yourselfs as police agents. This negligence could have created or contributed to teh fatalistic sequence that followed.

That’s a crime. That’s what should have been charged. Involuntary Manslaughter.

Well, I hear the officers thought they were at their own house, and the follow-up searches found out the victim/suspect had once said the word “Marijuana”, which is pretty telling.

Question: how should the helicopter pilots be punished?

he understands the public’s “anxiousness and frustration” with the length of time the investigation has taken.

The coroberating evidence won’t fake itself…
