Legally certified to teach children after sucking off one of those children.

Was the judge also a catholic bishop?

I remember when I was growing up, we had a particularly egregious case like this in Florida. If you want to be enraged, read all about how she got away with pedophilia because no one cares about boys being sexually assaulted (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debra_lafave). Her lawyer really argued that she was too attractive to go to prison.

Ok, isn’t there some sort of law or set of laws in most states that keep sex offenders from being teachers?

Seriously, you have an admitted pedophile being allowed to have a teaching certificate so she can, what? Teach more children?

Yes, every state has mandated licensing regulations and family codes (law) that specifically addresses child protection, particularly in education settings et. al.

And, yes to your second question ... too.

Prepare for correction from pedantic perverts who see no boundaries, something like this: The student was a teen, therefore the teacher is an ephebophile not a pedophile.

And, never let it be unsaid, fuck this teacher and the judge.

Shame she missed her calling as a Catholic nun.

And thank you for calling this woman a sex offender. Because despite all the disgusting comments I come across about “i never had teachers like this” etc, that’s what she is.

This is a problem that is growing, and I have to say most say many of the articles I’ve been reading about female offenders are in their 20's - early 30s. And I have to wonder what has changed in the last 20 years for some women to become predatory.

Yeah, she upgraded to priest level status rather than be the people like nuns who don’t diddle little boys.

She is just “one of the guys” now rather than being the “girl” in the group.

Her husband’s a cop. Those guys have some weird-as-fuck fetishes. He probably asked why she didn’t let him watch.

That’s the first time I’ve heard of a teacher keeping their teaching license after something like this. Seems like a pyrrhic victory anyway because there’s no way she’s ever going to be allowed back in a classroom again.

Even if she is never in a classroom again she could still hire herself out as a private tutor.

Surely she’s going on the sex offender registry, no? So her teaching licence won’t matter.

I also think her being a woman plays a part. When a woman assaults a boy they tell the boy he’s “lucky” but when a man assaults a boy it’s taken just as seriously as a girl being assaulted

So not that seriously either sadly. Though you’re still spot on.

Sexual assault victims need so much more than they get. And toxic masculinity that, amongst other things, tells boys they are “lucky” and not victims needs to be eradicated.

Gender had a bit more to do with this one.

HTF did she keep her teaching certificate, though?

Yeah, men are idiots who are lenient to sexual predators, especially women predators. They don’t believe women can do any harm to little boys, so they disregard the poor victim so they can protect the aggressor. This is a tale as old as time.

I had a big long argument with my dad about this. He feels a teenage boy having sex with an adult woman is “lucky.” I feel kids can’t consent to sex and it’s abuse regardless whether it’s a woman abusing a boy or a man abusing a girl. He thinks he would’ve felt flattered if it had happened to him, but since he’s never been the victim of sexual assault, I don’t think he knows what he’s talking about.

So oral sex on a 14 year old doesn’t get prison time anymore? Jesus Christ and that’s not getting into her keeping the teaching certificate.

Not if it’s a woman. There was a case in Kansas in the late 90s/early 00s where an eighteen-year-old kid performed oral sex on a fifteen or sixteen-year-old. Even though they should have been protected by so-called “Romeo and Juliet” loopholes, the older boy was sentenced to a decade in prison and a future marred as a sex offender. It’s Kansas, the same time they decided evolution should be removed from the curriculum, so I shouldn’t be surprised that there was a homophobic response to the situation.

Sex predator women are getting the same slaps on the wrist as sex predator men. Equality in a Cenobite sort of way.

I had a moment that Freud would be proud of whilst reading the title.

I read that last part too quickly and saw “and Keeps Touching Certificate”. Need to go shower now.
