  I also never get it because slavery was not practiced the same way over there as it was over here. Slaves were eventually integrated into the culture into which they were sold into. Like, your family didn’t stay slaves in perpetuity.

  I have a close female relative that love all that Confederate bullshit, thinks she’s some modern plantation belle, votes and campaigns for Republicans, and would wholeheartedly co sign this trash Facebook post. She is also living off Social Security payments intended for her kids, which she of course views as her private piggy bank. She spends her days guzzling box wine and cruising Southern white woman Heaven (aka Michael’s craft store). She is unemployed, living off government payments, and is also receiving Medicaid rather than paying for the sweet government healthcare plan that she is eligible for. But she steadfastly refuses to see that she has become the stereotype of the “welfare mother”. Somehow it’s different when she uses social services, perhaps it’s the salary we all owe her for simply gracing is with her righteous white womanhood. Total cognitive dissonance.

  So a little grey troll just proved itself to be only capable of reading headlines. Quelle Surprise. It’s like it doesn’t actually read any of its own copypasta. Specifically yet another blog post that clearly states that black people do not make up the lion’s share of welfare recipients and hints at racism (you know the whole “not hiring qualified black applicants for jobs for a myriad of bullshit reasons” thing) as being the cause of black people’s relatively high poverty rates. But in the past six months, this specific troll has repeatedly proven to be not only functionally illiterate, but completelly unable to discern valid and reliable sources from junk (it has repeatedly copied and pasted “articles” written by high school students,) not know basic American History, not know anything about geography (maybe it’ll copy and paste another story about South Africa on a comment thread about Black Americans,) not know how to properly cite its plagiarized articles, and not know how to properly analyze statistics. It’s just a thoroughly stupid racist that would manage to flunk out of Everest College after one semester.
