Dude is taking the L really poorly and continuing to damage his “brand” just like he damaged so many women who worked for him while he was whoring around at good old PBS.

It’s just like Tavis to sue. If you didn’t believe the allegations at face value, you knew they were true when this fast-talking muhfuh went and sued PBS. Guys like him truly believe they can talk their way out of anything.

Judge Epstein had time, Tavis. Judge Epstein as even more time for your ass if you want to keep testing him. What your arrogant ass should have done if you wanted to still have a career was to taken the “L” up front, gotten out of the public eye for a year or two, and only then attempt a comeback.

What you’re doing right now is playing yourself. Oh well.

Is he representing himself or something? Because I can’t believe any lawyer thought there was any chance that a judge would compel the release of thousands of private HR records for some non-specific fishing expedition.

I mean, he did have some other great guests.

Let’s do this: just remember the answers the guests gave not the questions or the fact they were asked questions. See? Still really interesting!

Hmm...see, I bet the countersuit wasn’t even going to be a thing until this shit happened. Respect the people under your employ, show that that’s a lesson you’re willing to keep learning, and you can indeed move on. This is just extra.

You mean the man that thought he could “hold out” for a bigger contract from PBS has a bullshit lawsuit?

Color me a half assed, ill prepared, womanizing interviewer.

From what I understand (and correct me if I’m wrong), Smiley wasn’t an employee of PBS since he produced the show through his production arm and was syndicated through PBS member station Thirteen/WNET New York (originally KCET in L.A.) and the PBS stations are member stations but aren’t owned by PBS. Yet the network fired him ---immediately after firing Charlie Rose after allegations against him-- so was he an employee or not though?

They didn’t fire him. They stopped distributing his show. As the article says; “In February, Smiley sued the network after it cut his show”

Thanks for the clarification. I’m seeing in other places that he was a PBS employee but he wasn’t, so I got confused.
