At this point, I’d bet dollars to donuts that Trump gets rid of Sessions.
The president doesn’t have the stones to fire anyone. He’s too desperately needy. He passive-aggressives them into quitting, always. And Sessions has been aiming for this seat, this position, and this power his entire life. He is not going to quit. Ever.
In the first six months it looked like Sessions might have thought about resigning, but after all this time he knows exactly what he’s dealing with when it comes to this president, and I’m of the mind he does not give a single shit about anything the president says any more. Even when he responded to *45's broadsides here, he focused on his office, not the idiot yapping at him.
Session is going to cling to the AG seat for as long as he can, and if Two Scoops—against all odds—fires him, well. He recused himself for a reason. Bet Mueller’d like to know what that reason is. Bet Sessions’d tell him, too.

My guess is that Republicans know that the House is going to go to Democrats after the election, but they’ll likely keep the Senate. Trump will then be free to fire Sessions and Mueller, and the House can start impeachment proceedings but the Senate won’t convict, so we’ll have two years of a constitutional crisis before the 2020 election.

  They can subpoena, but he’s made it clear he will not do anything. GOP in the Senate will do nothing and they simply won’t address it. I’m 100% sure we will have a serious constitutional crisis but the only way to end it will be for Dems to take over the Senate in 2020 and Trump to lose re-election. There’s no outcome here where anyone is going to want to set precedent.

As an Alumni of MECC, I have it on good authority that Jeffery ‘Smeagol’ Sessions did not recieve a diploma, and was not awarded that ring for “Really Good Behavior And Fishing Skills”. I don’t know where he got that piece of paper that says Diploma, nor who Steve “Sauron” Bannon or Stephen “Saruman” Miller are, but those people are not part of the MECC’s Board of Directors.
