    I had the opportunity to go to the Apartheid Museum a few years back. it was enlightening.

    While South Africa still has problems, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was an important step that they took to help address the harm that was done and heal from the travesty that was apartheid. Walking through the museum and learning about their history, it makes me fear that America missed it’s chance to try to address our repeated failings. from slavery to Jim Crow to police violence.
