Maybe the court is going overboard...

According to the opinion, the song named and threatened two officers, Daniel Zeltner and Michael Kosko, and a music video for the song also featured photos of them.

That might be in poor taste but it’s not like there’s evidence of any sort of planning to...

The song also indicated that the rappers seemed to know when the officer’s shifts ended and where they lived.

Yeah that was my entire line of thinking.

“Rap Song That Advocated Violence Against Police Not Protected by First Amendment: Pennsylvania High Court”

      What?! That’s outrageous!!

Yeah, I’d hate to agree here, but making specific threats against named officers is neither a good idea, nor is it protected by the 1st Amendment. That said, fuck the police, especially Officer Smith on 666 Devil Avenue. I’d like to cut his pinky toe off.

You don’t make a rap song until after the deed is done, that is the smarter play.

I remember several years ago in NC a local group posted a video specifically calling out members of the Winston-Salem PD, Sheriff, and Probation/Parole. I was one of those officers. We laughed at that shit and it was actually a good song. My guy had bars. If you feel threatened by a song because you are an officer, then you are doing the officer thing wrong.

On another note, I love NWA and still bump 8-Ball and Dope Man when I am in my teenage feels.
