She has rendered herself redundant; these press briefings are pointless. Why have them? Sanders is either going to obfuscate the truth or focus on some inane right-wing talking point that has no meaning outside of their bubble.
I’ve said it before: let the interns sit in on the briefings and let the real reporters get back to work on reporting the real news and not this “let’s pour a cup of gravy and settle down for some down-home yarn-spinning” waste of a smokey eye Chico’s fashion show that the press briefing has become.

From the libertarian corner, the Cato Institute just landed a hard right hand on this very subject. Statistically, they argue, undocumented immigrants seem to be quite a bit less likely to commit murder than are native-born Americans, though more likely than legal immigrants.
Common sense, isn’t it? For sure if I’d gone through great expense, hardship, and even personal risk to enter the US, and knew that coming to the attention of the police would at best mean that it all went to waste, and at worst incarceration, I’d certainly try harder than most to stay out of trouble.
With all due sympathies to the victim and her survivors, fear of major crime would seem an emotional and anecdotal rather than an evidence-driven reason for building physical or procedural walls.
