    And then also this drink menu makes no fucking sense!?!

    Like what does The Cold War, Beyonce (The Queen Bee), and Sucker Punch (that super terrible Zach Synder movie) have in common. Like what is supposed to be the unifying theme? Cause like there’s this Russia thing happening with The Cold War, Mango Mule, The Red October, and then Capetown Transfusion which like, huh? Wouldn’t you then continue with hammer and sickle, and Tsartini, or the Anastasia.

    If you all have a chance. Check out the movie based on the Tuskegee Experiment called Miss Evers’ Boys. It has a great cast and will leave you in tears... unless you own this bar.

      Completely agree.

      One of my sociology classes made us watch it. It’s important and yes, a very difficult movie to watch but it’s best not to avert our eyes to the suffering caused in the name of science and medicine on black and brown bodies.

      It should be required viewing for everyone

      It should be required viewing for everyone who’s white. Maybe the rest of us already had someone in our immediate family who suffered through something like that (or perhaps exactly like that) and don’t need to be re-traumatized or traumatized further. I wouldn’t sit George Takei down and make him watch it, and I certainly won’t watch it myself.

      Yeah, you’re right.  But if you’re infecting men with syphilis, it is pretty obvious that several women will also contract the disease, which is exactly what happened, and the article does mention that.

    The worse thing about this “experiment” is that they already knew what syphilis would do the human body because there were loads of research on it (remember, syphilis has been around pre-Napoleon). The reason for this, and the only reason: they wanted to see what it would do to the Black body because they believe(d) that Black people were different, that having Black skin somehow gave you super organs. That is what makes this one of the most evil things this government has done.
