Is this federal? Can President Dipshit pardon him like he did the Piece of shit sheriff Arpaio? Asking for a friend.

Yes, but I heard that there can be state charges as well (lied on state taxes) which can not be pardoned by the Prez.

He sure can. And after that Manafort can no longer claim a Fifth Amendment right to not answer incriminating questions. So, a pardon wouldn’t be that bad.

Manafort faces up to 240 years in prison if convicted on all charges, ABC News reports.

What’s the minimum? I’d like to know what he’s actually likely to face outside of our wildest dreams.

The ways the news outlets report possible sentences is asinine. They always just to a simple sum of the high end of the possible sentences. In reality, this isn’t usually how sentencing works.

I am surprised we even got these. I felt sure some Trumpernickel on the jury was gonna try and derail it all.

I don’t care that Manafort was convicted on tax and fraud...  we know the entire bunch of them are sleazeballs.  I want someone to be convicted on something they did with trump to do something wrong that will get the fucker in such a bind he has to quit.  After the midterms, of course.

Don’t see him making a deal for a lighter sentence; he’s gotta be more afraid of the Russians than anything the law will do.

And a sound strategy by the defense not to call any witness or let him testify.
