Last week, Giuliani told Chris Cuomo that “facts are in the eye of the beholder.”

Yesterday, he went on Meet The Press and said that truth isn’t truth.

At this rate, tomorrow he will be in "The Situation Room" wearing a black leather trench coat, saying that “The Matrix is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.”

Can we just strap him down and force feed him pills until one of them ejects him from this reality?

I know that I told you that Darth Vader betrayed and murdered your father but truth isn't truth and facts are in the eye of the beholder. Reality depends on a certain point of view and I presented you with alternative facts.

Giuliani has always been a loose cannon, even during his so-called heydays as mayor of New York city. Too many of us have fallen for his crime fighter hype.

I’m not even sure George Orwell predicted Trump’s White House, it’s beyond ‘1984'. Surreal.

And now they’ve flushed out another white supremacist from the white house. Goodness.

White Supremacist’s in this administration are pretty much like rats/roaches. Just because you found one, doesn’t mean the job is done, for every 1 you see, there are 20-30 more you have not yet found.

One of my most distinct memories in the days following 9/11 was all the “America’s Mayor” dick stroking of Guliani that was happening. Suddenly everyone had forgotten stop n’ frisk, Abner Louima, Amadou Diallo, mass round ups of the homeless and all the other indignities Guliani and his people had visited on the POC and poor of NYC because what? He made speech and cried a little?

Watching him destroy his legacy for Trump almost makes up for it.

I was there and I remember well... and very few folks remember how he led a police riot when running against Mayor Dinkins. It’s true!

And you forgot putting the command center in the bottom of the WTC which was useless when the towers came down.

Every time I see this guy on TV, I ask myself with disbelief - this guy was actually the mayor of a city? Not just some rural town of 300 people, but a real city? New York City? Bizarre. He has the brain power of a porcupine with rabies. (not sure if that’s a thing, but sounds about right)

Are we sure he didn’t just get the ‘key to the city’ from the real mayor when his Cub Scout Troop found a lost cat or something? This guy is F@#%$ idiot!

This is the upside of old white dudes refusing to retire and walk away from power. Eventually their crusty brains start spewing out relentlessly stupid shit and they start pissing all over themselves. These dudes get to their 60s, 70s, 80s, and want to stay on top of it all, but literally they can’t, and they start making it very obvious that they lack the faculties to continue doing what they’re doing.

I’m not sure it’s an upside, but there is an entertaining side to it.

You can still laugh? With a gentle heart at these examples of human frailty and foibles, without the bitterest, most miserable cynicism in the “laugh”?

With any luck we’ll discover Omarosa hid a recording device up Trump’s ass without him knowing it and she has a “tape” of his conversation with Comey.

Giuliani is playing his part perfectly.

    1. He’s appealing to the base and their love of calling anything they don’t like Fake News.

    2. He’s normalizing Trump behavior by talking about it.

    3. He’s a useful distraction that is designed to make us “tired” of this investigation.

The thing people need to understand is that Rudy isn’t communicating his own views. He’s trying to communicate Trump’s views in a way that sounds intelligible. Rudy knows very well what “truth” is, but the thing is: Trump doesn’t. Trump is a narcissist, and to that type of person, the only “truth” is what the narcissist believes (or wants) the “truth” to be. Hence the fixation on “lies” and “fake news” and everything else that conflicts with the things that Trump says.  Rudy knows Trump is full of shit, but he can’t actually say that, so he tries to say something that makes sense.  Except that he’s not that good at making sense, and I’m not sure anyone alive can make sense of a lot of the things Trump says/thinks.

This is why Trump will never talk with Mueller or his investigators. Because Trump can’t help himself. He won’t go in there thinking he’s lying, and he would probably pass a lie detector test with flying colors. He will go in there thinking he is telling the truth (i.e., his “truth” being the only one that matters) and will say things that are just outright inaccurate. And he will get charged with obstructing justice and impeached, the whole time saying that he’s getting railroaded.

This is also the difference between Trump and Nixon. Nixon was a calculated liar and knew exactly what he was doing. Trump is going to do the political equivalent of walking face-first into a closed glass door.

This silly idea of a “perjury trap” they’ve been trying to inject into the Zeitgeist through repetition cracks me up.

Translation: “When someone asks you a question to which they already know the answer... just to see how much of an idiot you are.”

I mean, asking Trump any question about anything under oath probably qualifies as a “perjury trap.”

When you run back out here and try to clean up your mess, you just make it worse.

One time my cat had diarrhea, and didn’t make it to the litter tray, and sprayed a puddle of liquid shit on the laundry floor. She tried to cover it, but just spread it around and got it all over her, and I walked in to find her covered in shit and crying because she didn’t know what to do. She would have been a loooooooooot better off just walking away and leaving it to someone with thumbs and a paper towel.

Rudy should just walk away and leave it to someone not suffering early signs of dementia.
