I have issues with the wording of the Police report.

According to the people involved, no assault, no damaged vehicle, wrong house. So you met a man unrelated to the assault unless you can prove otherwise.

Y’all apparently don’t have a complaining witness either. I’m guessing that the warrant is for not appearing in court over traffic tickets or something, otherwise you’d have lead with “MAN WITH DRUG ARREST HOLDS BABY HOSTAGE”. (I mean the Westland PD, not Breanna.)

I've said this a couple times, you can kill someone with a teaser and you effectively just tased a 2 month old.  Stop fucking around.

I was wondering that same thing. Do they realize that there’s video? I mean, they must have released that statement before the video, right? Nah, I’m sure they just don’t care.

I am doubly pissed off though because it seems like it was a domestic violence call they were responding to? So instead of actually going and protecting that woman they got into a scuffle at a cook-out??? Do your job, cops.

That police report does not line up with the video. How did they know that the person they were speaking with:

    A) Was the correct individual

    B) Had outstanding warrants? Remember they were there to deal with a fight.

    C) Disorderly persons is not equal to assault, the damaged property and a number of outstanding arrest warrants.

Why didn’t they have the woman who was assaulted describe her attacker??

    Somebody is lying....

It’s a very well written police CYA statement. Thorough. They spent some time looking for shit they could hang on their victim.

That’s what they do after abusing a private citizen.  They trump up charges, the sorry D.A. backs ‘em and the courts are all too willing to swallow it all hook, line, and sinker because cops are knights in blue who would NEVER lie and NEVER abuse a private citizen.  Believe that line and I have some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you and if you order now, I’ll throw in the Golden Gate Bridge for free!!!

He really shouldn’t have grabbed his baby to prove a point

Yeah, it did seem like he was using a baby as a shield, as if daring the cops to try to tase someone while holding a child. And then they did, because cops don’t give a fuck. Clearly the cops are in the wrong here, there’s no doubt about that.

NO he wasn’t trying to use his own baby as a shield. The cops ordered him to hand off his baby; they didn’t know who they were telling him to give his kid to. And, since they tasered him anyway while he was holding his baby they obviously were ok with hurting the baby.

It was at that point that another person who was holding Brown’s son was told to remove the baby from the scene.

Sounds like they really wanted to use live rounds up in this scene.

Obviously. You do realize he had something black in his hands. Looked like a weapon. As some idiot said describing tasing an 87 year old woman with a knife, “to do anything else would have been irresponsible”.

When they rolled up and were told that there was no fight or disagreement, they should have rolled out. But no, their presence made it worse.

All this is another wolf call that almost got a baby hurt or killed. Either they lied about the incident (check 911 tapes) or the caller in question was lying in order to get a black man in trouble or dead.

Lock up the caller who lied or the cops should be charged for child endangerment.

Fire everyone of those motherfuckers, Jesus Christ.

Listen to the way they talk, how can anybody with a straight face say we don’t have a racial issue with police in this country. Goddamn it I hate everything. The cop you hear speaking at the very beginning sounds like every stereotype you can throw at that particular breed of person.

The police report says a DV call and damaged car, then the women says a friend called about a crock pot, and the police say this bunch of crap:

Westland Police Officers made contact with the man involved in the incident. It was determined that the man was going to be arrested for the assault, the damaged property and also for a number of outstanding arrest warrants. Once the man learned that he was going to be arrested he grabbed the child from the mother’s arms and held the child tightly. The man refused to release the child back to the mother who was also asking for the child back.

How do they know he stole a crock pot, damaged a car, committed DV? It was determined he was going to be arrested, based on what? There was no assault, damaged property, and they couldn’t have known about the arrest warrant yet.

    Typical over reaction then CYA.

I grew up around the corner from that block. The police are lying, and sprinting to cover their asses.

Westland PD just spent half a million dollars on new tasers and bodycams from a military defense contractor, and I’ll bet we can all guess which of those they had on the scene that night.
