  Kind of unrelated, but as someone who’s been to way too many beach towns all over the country, and been inside so many of these kinds of schlockaramas, I’m guessing Nikebrow is the owner or at the very least a family member of the owner. They usually try to get cute teenage/college-age girls to work them.

This is one of THE most racist areas of the US. I’ve lived there, as well as in three southern states, and NJ by far had the most loathsomely out and proud racists. And, not “normal” garden-variety racists, either, but crazed rage-spitting KKK-level racists. As in, casually using slurs in public, bragging publicly about not hiring blacks and other minorities, and realtors letting you know *winkwink* minorities are redlined for that neighborhood (yeah, i reported his ass).

  Yeah, I live in southern New Jersey now and agree that there are LOTS of racist asshats here. I grew up in Philly though: as soon as you get outside of the city limitsor worse: find yourself in a predominantly white part of town that is in denial about still being within Philadelphia’s limits, you find lots of racist weirdos. Rural PA is known for 3 things: Amish, Mennonites and Aryan Brotherhood sects. Jersey is not much different. My neighborhood is pretty diverse and middle class, but people are still asshats. The white guy who lives across from me doesn’t acknowledge me, but neither do some of my arrogant (fellow) black neighbors. I too have lived in different places due to my job: and I’ve encountered racism everywhere. The calendar says that it’s 2018 but lots of places are stuck in 1918--and proud of it.
