    It’s funny how with every single paragraph Peggy becomes more and more the stereotype of “White Women” that, at the end, she gets annoyed at Michael for “coming after”.

    Also in yet another round of “Mort learns a former acquientance is a piece of garbage” today I found out I went to school and used to know one of the heads of one of those Hipster Neo-Nazi “Identarian” groups which is... wizard. He spends all his time claiming he’s totally not racist, while banging on about Burqas and the Islamification of Europe...

      I had a friend in high school similar to the one in your anecdote. In high school, he seemed fine. We had similar senses of humor, interests, etc. And we had more than a couple of classes together, so we chatted a lot, made inside jokes, the whole nine yards.

      Then some time around 2008/2009 (several years after we graduated), I happened across one of his online profiles. He had posted a few dozen pics of weapons he was stockpiling or making (baseball with nails in it and the like) in case Obama ever tried to take away his guns. I have to say, I stopped looking into former acquaintances after that.

    I agree that black people have had to suppress our feelings about wypipo for a long time. But our ancestors did so nevertheless. Plantation owners loved hearing their slaves sing “” negro spirituals”, especially “Massa’s In De Cold, Cold Ground”. Stupid white folks thought that it was a song of mourning when actually it was pure clapback.

    And what the fuck her name from Australia needs to go someplace else to shed her crocodile tears. Australia is as racist as the United States. Worse still her white ancestors were all convicted criminals. They were given two choices by the British...swing from the gallows or emigrate to Australia.

      Australia served as a penal colony for Great Britain since the 1600's. I don’t know how far back her family tree goes, but most white Australians (especially the “tiny” white ones) still harbor a deep-rooted bigotry towards the dark-skinned aboriginals.

      Please forgive me for not shedding a single tear because her bookbag was abused. I grew up in a country that has dedicated itself to shredding every ounce of humanity from all people of color.

    I’m not Italian, but I feel that I can talk to you because I have had an Italian friend. None right at the moment, but still. But because of that, I can understand the oppression you have felt. When I read of all the Italians hassled by profiling police, it makes me sad for all the Italians I see daily that are pulled over, arrested, choked, and even killed by overzealous police who don’t understand that Italians are people, too. I know the fact that you are a “tiny white girl” didn’t stop the cops for racially profiling you. Cops can tell when they have an Italian in their midst. And the fact that in America we have had people in office like Cuomo or Giuliani does not mean that racism is dead. But hang in there. Remember, Christopher Columbus was Italian, too! #notallwhitepeopleeventhoughyouarewhitepeopletoo
