    Do I hope the tape surfaces? Yeah sure. Will it change anything? Hell no. His base will love it (as so many others have said). Pearls will be clutched. People will be outraged. Trump will be denounced. And, that’s all folks. Because it is a well known fact that Trump is a racist and has used the term numerous times in his life. It may invigorate the left and some moderates that don’t hold to blatant racism. Nah, it won’t.

      I don’t know. I feel like there are some dolts who voted for him simply because he had an R next to his name and/or wasn’t an intelligent women who threatened their worldview; if there is literally a tape with him calling someone the N word, I would imagine some of these folks wouldn’t be able to force themselves to cast ballots for his reelection, at least.

      There were people who voted Obama in and then voted for Trump, so maybe this would shift them again?

      Then again, they were dumb enough to vote for him in the first place, so...

      Because when it occurred it wasn’t useful. Now its useful because it puts Arnold in the spotlight.

      It did not matter when it occurred because Arnold is used to such behavior and has probably been an active participant.

    I know the salient point is the n-word tape but I laughed at this:

    Arnold did note that Trump should be worried, because “Unfortunately, I know everything,” he added, according to HuffPost. Arnold added that he turned down Trump’s request for him to appear on his “crappy” Apprentice show.

    “Like, that is for real. That says a lot. Because I do everything,” Arnold added.

    Translation: “I’m a has-been like whoa and even I wouldn’t do that shit.” Points for self-awareness.

      That 40% won’t change even if you get multiple recordings of Trump saying the n-word and anything else you can imagine he’s probably said. He was right when he said he could shoot someone in the middle of 5th avenue and not lose his supporters.

      People need to stop trying to change the minds of the people who really support Trump, and focus instead on getting more (decent, non-Trump supporting) people to vote. Over 40% of the eligible population doesn’t show up to the polls. It’s kind of shocking compared to other developed countries.

    Hmmm. Things that I am sure of in no particular order:

    1. Trump has thrown around the n-word like a pizza chef throws down shredded mozzarella.
    2. Trump has called Eric plenty of vulgar names, certainly called him a r-word, and probably to his face on several occasions.
    3. Tom Arnold is an attention whore who would say almost anything to get attention for his podcast or youtube channel, or whatever the fuck he is doing these days.

    I have no doubt that Trump said shit like that, but I trust Arnold to be a reliable witness about as much as Amorosa, which is.... precious little.

      There’s also the story about him showing up to Don Jr’s dorm to take him to a baseball game and, upon seeing his son in a jersey and ball cap, knocking him TF down in front of his roommate and telling him to put on a suit and to meet him downstairs in 5. If he’ll do that (and countless other horrors in family interactions), you better believe a the r-word-we-all-know-it-is is firmly planted in his limited vocabulary. It’s probably consists of just “beautiful”, “huge”, “fake news”, the n-word, the r-word, and all the bad words for Jews.

    Worst case scenario for Arnold for releasing said tapes is that he incurs civil penalties for breach of an NDA of some sort with Trump. His fees and then some would be paid for overnight by some sort of Kickstarter. Republicans will feign outrage at Trump, then redirect that rage at Arnold, until maybe 9/11 when they will have memorials to attend, and the news cycle can be reset anew, just in time for Russia to hack some power plants or something just before elections.
