    If that white lady was my mom, I’d say she was stupid and then hunt down the bitch who touched her and knock HER out.

    This shit with the “You say something dumb, you deserve everything thereafter!” has got to stop. What kind of vindictive society do we have now? Instead of public beheadings, we have public shaming to the point where others support physical pain and punishment for VERBAL stupidity.

    I wonder if a self-defense case would hold up in court, if for some reason the people who punched her get arrested. I think it’s a reasonable assumption that if someone is going to use the racist slur that’s so bad that we won’t even speak it out loud, that person is also racist enough to lay hands on the person they’ve already verbally attacked.

    I know this could be a specious argument, and probably not worth the risk of taking it to a jury, but I’m still curious about it as a hypothetical.

      It will be difficult unless there is video confirming who threw the first punch. It would not surprise me if bystanders conveniently turned off their cameras. Of course someone will post it because WORLDSTAR! Either way, it would be a messy investigation and I would not want to have anything to do with it. 

      They certainly aren’t going to find anyone willing to testify.

      And she literally asked for it.

      When my husband was in the Navy, every so often someone like this would “fall up a ladder”, and, amazingly enough, nobody ever saw it happen. Including, if they had any sense, the clumsy person.
