I bet his aggression had something to do with those white socks. I mean, previous history between the two aside I see an angry man in white socks and I feel like his momma dressed him and he is full of resentment.

Beat me to it. I had to go watch the June 26th video but int hat one he’s wearing black socks. I feel like there some important correlational evidence here. A link between police violence and sock color choice. Or maybe this is come kind of cop color code. Maybe this si how you get into ICE.

joking of course ICE will hire anyone.

The white socks, along with the snugness of the uniform really complete the look for me.

He’ll probably be working for DC’s police department by the end of the week.

Maybe he can get on that white supremacist escort detail. His audition tape certainly looks good.

Seeing the first video reinforces my belief that this was personal.  Keep digging and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was more to these two.

It’s definitely personal. The cop beat him up before, then in the most recent video goes up and asks him for ID. He already knew who the guy was, he just wanted to start shit.

Dude was a bully. Thinking out loud here but what if the guy had some MMA in him, squared up and gave him a run for his money man on man and we got THAT on video. All the Blue Lives Matter people would be out here making comments but yet they are silent now. Funny how that works.

Son he no longer has the support of his bullshit ass union to cover for him. It also warms my heart to know he is no longer getting my MD tax dollars while on suspension and that he will more than likely be prosecuted. He is a lot more stupid than presented in this story

Sorry to burst your bubble. This is a well established police dodge. Quitting means he doesn’t have to co-operate with the “investigation” and also gives the PD an avenue to quietly drop it since he longer works there. Plus since he wasn’t fired or officially disciplined it doesn’t go on his employment record if he goes to get a job at another Dept.

He won’t be prosecuted and we will never hear about this again. Until he kills someone.

I think the department will continue the investigation to the end. I may not be accurate because I am only somewhat familiar with this type of thing. Additionally, a lawsuit is entirely possible because at the time of both incidents, the officer was employed with the department - and employing white socks in the second incident. (Eww)

In other words: I hope you’re wrong but I leave open the very high probability of being disappointed.

If you or I beat someone like this we would be arrested. Possibly for attempted murder.

    Arrest criminal cops.

Actually shocked and surprised they charged him. Now will he be convicted is the next question.

I mean it was a pretty obvious egregious assault that he committed. His victim had done nothing wrong other than just sitting there while black and rightfully refusing to present his ID when Williams asked for it. Too bad Officer Williams just fucked up his entire career in a fit of rage, especially given all the awards he’d received at the Academy.

Oh well, one down, many more to go.

Yeah, The Baltimore Sun is saying the victim identified his assailant as officer Williams.

This is from the newspaper’s crime reporter.

“First in his class in unprovoked violence. Second in his class in believing he’s better than anyone on the street. Honorable mention in excessive use of force.”

Makes one wonder what they teach there. Surely one of the first classes is “Mute: How to get your stories straight and properly plant evidence without being caught on the illegal and intrusive body cameras.”

Ha. See how quickly this Black cop had to leave the job and is now getting arrested for assault? That’s how it should ALWAYS happen when a cop assaults or kills an unarmed person. They need to do ALL cops like they do so many Black cops.

The cop’s partner, who was also present at the scene (and remains on administrative duties) did nothing to stop the brutal barrage of blows.

But “not all cops are bad...” This is why you don’t trust any of them. As has been said ad nauseam, they back the blue line. If these mythical “good cops” stand by while crap like this happens they’re just as culpable.
